Arrangements and Fees

I am available to speak, teach, or read at conferences, MAsT meetings, and other venues. Presentations typically run 90 minutes, including 15-30 minutes of Q&A or group discussion. I am also happy to participate in panel discussions relating to any of the topics I write or speak about.

For events within a four-hour drive of my home in western Massachusetts, arrangements and fees are as follows:

  • travel stipend to cover gas, tolls, and parking
  • overnight hotel accommodations for me and my wife if the event takes place in the evening
  • two comp tickets to the event
  • food stipend to cover our meals (we have dietary restrictions)
  • book sale table at the venue
  • $250 fee per 90-minute class; $100 per panel

For events more than a four-hour drive from western Massachusetts:

  • flights for me and my wife from Bradley International Airport (BDL) in Hartford, CT, to the airport nearest the event
  • ground transport from the airport to the hotel
  • hotel accommodations for the duration of the event
  • two comp tickets to the event
  • stipend to cover our meals (we have dietary restrictions)
  • book sale table at the venue
  • $250 fee per 90-minute class; $100 per panel

If I’ve been engaged to speak at an event, I am happy to do a reading at no additional charge. For solo readings, allow 60 minutes, including 15-20 minutes of Q&A, plus an additional 30 minutes for book sales and signing. For multi-person readings, please use the contact form on the Teaching page.

If you are interested in hosting a full- or half-day workshop, please contact me using the form on the Teaching page to discuss specifics. Arrangements for travel, food, and lodging will generally be as above.
